Steak Burgers

A few years back, I got a recipe for steak burgers.  I have never been a huge burger eater, but this recipe has changed that.  This is one of Todd's favorite things to eat and because the BBQ season has finally hit the Midwest...tonight we had steak burgers and corn on the cob.

Haley and Madeline cleaned the corn for me while I got the burgers mixed up and ready to go on the grill.
Steak Burgers
2 lbs ground meat (whatever your family eats - beef, turkey, buffalo, etc.)
1-2 tbsp mustard (I usually just give it a good squeeze - whatever variety you have handy)
1/4 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp dried oregano
3 tbsp steak sauce
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp finely minced onion

Combine all ingredients into a large bowl.  Form into 8 patties.  Grill until desired doneness.

Don't forget to butter the buns and toast them a bit on the grill as well....yummy!

Dump everything into a mixing bowl.

My secret weapon against yucky raw meat...I can't stand to have it stuck under my nails!  Put on a pair of these and no more icky meat to scrub off your hands when your burgers are done!

See how well that works?!  After the mixing and patty-making is done, just peel the gloves off and no mess...pure genius!

Remove the gloves and head out to the grill.

Ready to feed the crew!
There you have it - majorly easy, but a little different take on the traditional burger.  The whole family eats this one up...I love summer time!

God Bless!

Heather :-)
