Rejecting Abortion

America will not reject abortion until America sees abortion.

This is something that Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life has been saying for years.  He's the man who advocates standing outside abortion clinics holding graphic signs depicting what an aborted baby looks like.  His approach is controversial even among staunch pro-lifers.  But, in the wake of the Gosnel trial and conviction, I believe that he is right.

We live in a culture that promotes freedom of choice above all else.  Most people who will engage in a conversation with me say that they would never have an abortion themselves, but they don't want to impose their beliefs onto anyone else.  The rare cases of rape and incest always become the highly emotional example for not forcing a woman to bring an unintended, unwanted pregnancy to term. All the focus and energy is placed upon the woman while her developing baby is dehumanized and regarded as disposable. For me, it boils down to one question...is this "aborted material" a baby, or not? If the answer is yes, then abortion is wrong not just for you, but for everyone.

What is emerging across the country is shocking.  The abortion industry's dirty little secret is out.  Babies are being born live during "botched" abortions and killed outside the womb.  There is no wiggle room on this one folks, that is by legal definition murder. Lila Rose and Priests for Life have released videos exposing this widespread practice.

These videos are highly disturbing to say the least.  I can hardly stomach watching them, but I do watch them and pass them along for others to view.  Why?  Because I have come to believe exactly what Father Pavone has been saying for years, "America will not reject abortion until America sees abortion."

Please continue to pray for an end to abortion, a change of heart for all those involved in the abortion industry, and healing for those women and men affected by abortion.

God Bless!

Heather :-)
