Last Sunday, Joseph celebrated his First Holy Communion. He is my third child to come to the Lord's table with us! My friend loaned us a black suit complete with a white tie...snazzy! Both sets of grandparents traveled the 500 miles from North Dakota to be here for Joseph and spend the weekend with us. It was a very special day to say the least!
He looks so grown-up! |
Here we are...tough to get a good shot of everyone at the same time! |
Thanks for celebrating with us grandparents! |
His inventive big sisters even made him a cross shaped pinata to commemorate the day! |
Lillian, who has a history of wheezing/breathing difficulties, came down with a cold. She checked out okay on Wednesday with orders to do nebulizer treatments twice a day. Friday night she was up all night with body aches and 102 temperature. Back to the doctor to get an antibiotic for walking pneumonia. As long as the Tylenol is in her system, she feels okay, but as soon as it wears off she is miserable again. I'm hoping for the antibiotic to kick in soon so that she can start feeling well again soon.
Saturday night had movie night written all over it. I was tuckered out and didn't feel like putting any energy into anything else. We borrowed a copy of the Mighty Macs from some friends and settled in for the show. We had to stop the movie a few times for discussions about the culture of the 1970's (women's liberation movement) and to correct incorrect depictions of religious life (removal of habit to enjoy a beer in a bar), but overall enjoyed the movie.
Peter is captivated by the movie! |
Can you tell that the Tylenol is fresh in her system?! |
I hope that you are all healthy and enjoying the Easter season.
God Bless!
Heather :-)
So very difficult when illness hits the family. Hang in there and I hope you all heal quickly :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son! What a beautiful day he had, to receive our Lord and have his grandparents present :)
What wonderful family memories surrounding a very special day for your son. Beautiful family photo :)
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone feels better there. We survived winter doing amazingly well and no flu and hardly a cold. And then the weather turned weird and three of the kids had the icky cough and hard to sleep. I'm with you and thinking this up and down crazy weather just isn't good for any of us. Hope things get back to normal soon.
