Mission Accomplished!

Our family participated in the Robbinsdale Women's Center Walk for Life yesterday.  Despite the rain (drizzling all day long) and cold (about 40 degrees), we all had a great time.  It was wonderful to see so many people there all working towards the same goal, especially families.  That is why we chose this project.  It was something that our entire family could do together.

We set a goal to raise $500.  This seemed like a really big number and we weren't sure that we could get there, but decided to aim high.  The 3 biggest kids were out ringing doorbells and collecting donations.  We had a donation site set up online.  When we combined the two, we discovered that we had actually exceeded our goal!  In all, $561 went to help moms and dads bring their babies into the world!

Here we are, ready to get going!  Esther and Eleanor are in the stroller which kept them protected from the cold and rain.
Grandma Pam, Madeline and Todd walking under their umbrellas.
Joseph and Haley enjoying some juice after we completed our 2 mile walk.
This was a fabulous endeavor for the Kraft family.  It pushed us to come out of our comfort zone a bit and go begging for the benefit of unborn babies and their moms.  We called upon friends, neighbors, and family and many showed us such generosity.  We are so thankful for their support.  This morning Madeline said, "I think I might want to try the run next year."  So, they're already thinking about doing it again.  I'll count that as a success!

God Bless!

Heather :-)

  1. This is great! My family does a Hike for Life Texas each fall. We work with the K of C for our crisis pregnancy center. The kids LOVE it! Good for you all! And in the cold!
