I don't really even know if this qualifies as a recipe as it has only 3 ingredients. But, it is quick, easy, and yummy which makes it a winner in my house! The kids even assemble these for me...bonus!
Here are the 3 ingredients - pepperoni (our family prefers the turkey kind), crescent rolls, and mozzarella cheese.
On an ungreased cookie sheet, roll out the crescent rolls. Then poll the kids to see who wants only cheese and who wants pepperoni/cheese. I put 4 pepperonis on each one and then cover with about a tablespoon of cheese or just the tablespoon of cheese. You could get creative and make all different kinds of roll-ups, but that just isn't our style so I stick with cheese or pepperoni.
Roll them all up and pop them into a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
Here they are! Fresh out of the oven and nicely golden brown (you can't tell from the picture...just take my word for it!)
Then plate 'em up and serve with some pizza sauce (BTW - I'm too cheap to spring for pizza sauce and use the jumbo jar of spaghetti sauce that is always in my fridge). We usually have fresh fruit or carrot sticks on the side.
So, there you have it. Easy and pretty tasty (at least by kid standards!). 5 out of the 6 Kraft kids request this lunch and only 1 eats it reluctantly...but she still eats it. Let me know if you give it a try.
God Bless!
Heather :-)

ReplyDeleteYummy! Mine will definitely like it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!!! Mine like to make pizzas with their bagals, but that is a lot of fun, too!
