No Foolin'

April Fool's Day is a big deal in our house.  The children like to play pranks on each other and really love "getting" somebody...especially when that somebody is mom.  All year long, they search out the perfect prank.  My Haley who typically will sleep as late as possible was out of bed at 5:45 am to sneak downstairs to get a few April Fool's Day surprises ready for her siblings.  Her best one this year was getting her younger sister a bowl of cereal that she had secretly put green food dye in the bottom of the bowl.  As Lillian ate her cereal, it began to change color.  Haley could hardly contain herself at the success of her trick!

The children all had fun playing tricks on each other.  However, this year's best prank award goes to Dad!

It begins like this.  I yell from upstairs to the children who are downstairs, "Kids, I need daddy to come help me.  I think he's in the den.  Can someone get him for me?"  Instantly, all the children obediently run into the den to relay the message to dad. (okay, so maybe it doesn't quite go down like that, but a mom can dream, right?!) When someone arrives at the den, this is what they see.
Hey dad, mom needs some help upstairs.
And for some reason, dad doesn't respond.  Upon further examination, this is what they find.

Hmmmm...something's not right here!  I think that dad just pranked the kids!
We got the idea from Family Fun's website.

Ahhhh....it felt so good to have a day of fun and laughter.  After a week of sadness and tears, April Fool's Day was just what our house needed.

God Bless!

Heather :-)
