Madeline Comes Home from Camp!

Earlier this week, Todd drove Madeline down to Sleepy Eye for a week-long camp with the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary. She was very excited to go, but anxious about the unexpected.  She didn't know anyone and was going away all by herself.  We were so proud that she was making this adventure on her own, and felt reassured that she would be surrounded by other Christ-seeking youth and the Sisters.  She was terribly missed by her sibblings, especially her roommate and side-kick (aka Haley).

We went to pick her up tonight and she had a fabulous time!  There was a short program and refreshments for the campers' families.  She shed a few tears as she said good-bye to her new friends, but she excitedly told us all about her week on the drive home.  We're so happy to have her back!

Madeline can hardly wait until next summer to go again....and Haley will be 9 by then, so she'll get to go along too!  That will be interesting to have the two eldest gone for a week.  Wonder how I'll hold up?! :-)
