Madeline is 10! She's the first child in the house to reach double digits - quite a milestone! While we don't have parties for individual birthdays, we do have some traditions that make the birthday child's day extra special. They wake up to a huge sign hanging over their door. They eat on a red "You Are Special" plate for each of their meals. They get to choose what to eat at each meal. We make a cookie cake and the birthday child gets to decorate it. And the favorite tradition - the birthday child gets one present for each year they are old. We did, however, decide that it will be capped out at ten presents! Madeline had a great time opening her ten presents and playing with them the rest of the day.
2 of her favorite gifts - hair dressing chair (from Grandma and Grandpa) and cape that I made for her out of an old hand towel. She and Haley spend hours doing doll hair!
She had fun icing and decorating her cookie cake.
God Bless!
Heather :-)
Happy belated birthday! I hope we can get together soon!
